Research is an integral part of the program at the University
of Hawaii. The faculty have research experience in numerous areas including:
audiologic re/habilitation, cochlear implants, child language disorders, video
electronystagmography, phonology, hearing aids, voice, motor speech disorders,
adult neurogenic communication, hearing conservation, fluency, normal language
development, assistive listening device technology, literacy, and adult and
pediatric hearing assessment.
In addition to the on-going faculty research
products, which have been published and/or presented at local, national,
and international conferences, all graduate students in CSD are required to
work with faculty members to complete student research
projects.
